You know those cloudless nights where the frightening depth of the stars opens up?
This drawing is one of three that emerged in the autumnal space between equinox and solstice. It captures the new moon and it’s call for deep shadowy reflections, ushering in new growth and longer days of light after the winter Solstice.

∝ is a symbol meaning 'proportional to' in mathematics.
In my personal note-taking shorthand, this has become a symbol with a similar but looser meaning of 'related to' or 'interconnected with'.
