Process

These 'working drawings' have become an important part of my drawing process. They develop in a reciprocal way alongside their larger counterparts, doing the work of recording references, testing and documenting concepts, compositions and language.

These are a remnant of my architectural education, where the working drawing develops, tests, notates, and archives. In the end it is a record of the journey.

References

While many references are obscured or lost in these early working drawings, the following lyrics survive on the drawing:

"Will you be wearing white or black?" is a lyric from "No Halo" performed by Sorority Noise, written by Adam Ackerman, Cameron Boucher, Charlie Singer, Ryan McKenna.

"We had to dream" is a misheard lyric ("we're yet to dream") from "Hearts Like Ours" performed by The Naked and Famous, written by Thomas Powers, Aaron Short, Alisa Xalalith.

"To me, to me." is a misheard lyric ("Do we?") from "A Small Reunion" performed by The Naked and Famous, written by Thomas Powers, Alisa Xalalith, Andrew Bulbrook.
