Process
This drawing is one of three that emerged in the autumnal space between equinox and solstice.
An ethereal form in Tadasana - the mountain pose - connects the land and sky and has me thinking a lot about balance, what grounds us, and what we let go of.
References
Tadasana - the mountain pose - is an important and understated Yoga posture for me that explores balance, grounding and strength. I often think of the frequent instruction "Tadasana legs!" which reminds me to make meaningful connection to the ground, while ascending to the sky.
λ - lambda - is a greek letter used in the sciences to (most commonly) refer to wavelength. When I was younger on a backpacking trip through Aotearoa I kept a stylised λ drawn on the base of my thumb, which became a reference to the connection of mountains and water.
